Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement
TAVR (also known as TAVI) is a minimally invasive procedure that replaces a diseased aortic valve without removing the old valve. A new valve is compressed onto a delivery catheter and guided through the vasculature to the heart, where it expands and immediately takes over valve function.
